The Crossroad

Boundary St & Vulture St, West End QLD
My painting captures snapshots of the immediate surroundings of the box’s location in West End, in a key intersection where art, nature, and community collide. I wanted to feature some of my favourite local spots, as well as some of the wildlife that makes its home in amongst the urban environment.

BOUNDLESS ST, WEST END

Olivia Dean-Jones’ artwork ‘The Crossroad’  captures snapshots of the box’s surroundings in West End, at a key intersection where art, nature, and community collide.

Olivia’s design features some of her favourite spots, as well as some of the wildlife that makes its home there. As a part of her research, she visited West End a few days in a row to develop her artwork, capturing images at different times of the day and visiting her favourite local café.

The clever and subtle change of street name from Boundary to Boundless expresses the spirit of generosity and optimism that West End is well known and loved for.

How many West End locations can you see in Olivia’s work?
