‘We Love Popcorn!’ is a cheerful and playful design created by Jasmail and Kyra. The artwork celebrates the joy that movies and popcorn bring to people in Brisbane. Across the city, movie nights are held in schools, communities, festivals, and family gatherings — and popcorn is always part of the fun.
Our design features happy popcorn characters with bright colours, hearts, and friendly faces. We want pedestrians to feel relaxed and smile when they see the traffic signal box. The artwork aims to remind people of happy moments, like going to the movies after school, after work, or on weekends. The simple pleasure of holding a warm box of popcorn and enjoying a story brings people together, and we wanted to capture that feeling.
By transforming an everyday traffic signal box into a fun and inviting artwork, we hope to create a small moment of joy for everyone passing by.
