Raising Awareness of Our Oceans

Hannah Owens is undertaking an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at IES College in Spring Hill.

A key requirement of the IB is to undertake projects in the community that nurture service, creativity and activity – so painting an Artforce traffic signal box was an ideal way to give back creatively! Hannah’s artwork, ‘Overfishing – This is What You’re Funding’ considers the issues of overfishing and harmful fishing practices. It’s an issue she’s passionate about, so it was a great outlet to help raise awareness of the importance of caring for our oceans and its resources.
