Emily has held a lifelong passion for the creative arts, prompting her to leap at the chance to participate in Artforce. Eager to display her work in a public setting, the project allowed her to scale up her illustrations and broaden her technical design skills.
Her artwork, ‘Life in Still Pictures’, juxtaposes gorgeous native animals with common pieces of urban litter. The contrasting elements highlight the resilient beauty that exists just beyond our roads. The composition urges viewers to stop overlooking the environment, reminding them that our suburbs are not only for our homes, but also important havens for local wildlife.

You must not be an employee of Brisbane City Council.
You must not have painted more than two traffic signal boxes in a four year period and not in consecutive years.
