When creating my design I took inspiration from designs located on other traffic signal boxes. My concept surrounded Australian native animals and common pieces of litter. I wanted to display these subjects in the design to demonstrate the backdrops of our busy lives and the beauty that lies beyond our roads and footpaths. So many of us choose to overlook these wonderful things, and so I wanted to bring them forward and into our communities where they are free to be seen and appreciated. I want viewers to see the art and understand that this beauty is free and surrounds us the minute we step outside and breathe in. Anywhere. Anytime.
