La La Land

Charlotte St & Creek St & Eagle St, Brisbane City QLD
This traffic signal box is located near Eagle St Pier (an iconic waterfront dining precinct, currently undergoing a $2 billion dollar redevelopment) and is surrounded by modern and majestic office buildings. The intent of the artwork is to highlight the fact that Brisbane is a beautiful, dynamic, vibrant, multicultural, friendly and very liveable city. The artist moved to Brisbane 20 years ago from interstate and has not looked back. The artwork is a tribute to a city that has been very kind to her and it is her way of giving something back to Brisbane. The essence of the artwork is to celebrate all that Brisbane has to offer and to bring a smile to the faces of people who pass by.
