Lead the Way

Clarence Rd & Westminster Rd, Indooroopilly QLD
As a dog owner, I’m happy to see Brisbane become a more pet inclusive city. However with that privilege comes a responsibility. Domesticated pets are one of the biggest threats to our native wildlife. According to the Australian National University, pet cats are known to kill 323 million native animals a year. Sadly, more native animal species are lost in Australia than any other continent in the world. That’s why I thought it was important to paint this piece, to remind people to not let your pets roam and to make sure they are safely on a lead whenever they’re in public to help keep our wildlife safe.
