Neurodiversity is beautiful

This design is inspired by the diversity of brains, and how they might be under the same category but they might be slightly different. Each tree needs certain adjustments and conditions to not just grow but thrive. This is like people in real life. This group of trees / brains include: Autism, PDA, ADHD, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Dyslexia, and more, each having their own unique size, colour and shape but all as beautiful as each other.

The Diversity of Brains

Because of the variety of their members, the Bardon Auslan Guides created an artwork to spread awareness of what equality should feel like when there is inclusion and acceptance in our communities.

The Bardon district of Girl Guides Queensland is a group with a mix of Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing kids and leaders, who are all bilingual in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and English. The group also has Guides with neurodiversity and physical disabilities. This design is inspired by the diversity of brains! Each tree in the artwork needs certain conditions to not just grow, but thrive. The group of trees includes Autism, PDA, ADHD, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Dyslexia and more. Each has its own unique size, colour and shape, and all are as beautiful as each other.

You must be a resident of Brisbane ie. living within the Brisbane City Council area.
You must not be an employee of Brisbane City Council.
You must not have painted more than two traffic signal boxes in a four year period and not in consecutive years.
