The Brisbane Transbox(port)

Adelaide St & Wharf St, Brisbane City QLD
My design centres on capturing daily city life of Brisbane, spotlighting the iconic Brisbane bus—a symbol ingrained in the local community with its recognisable blue, yellow, and white colours. The bright colours reflect the dynamism of the city. Additionally, I aim to showcase the city’s gender and cultural diversity by varying the character designs.

CITY SLICKERS!

City Slickers is a new initiative that enables us to bring colour to boxes that are located too close to the curb to be safely painted. Plus, a new medium and way for creators to get involved with Artforce Brisbane!

This is one of ten digital artworks developed by Queensland College of Art & Design students, printed and wrapped around traffic signal boxes throughout Brisbane city!

Tom Truong’s ‘The Brisbane Transbox(port)’ features our bustling blue, white and yellow buses, and shows the dynamism, gender and cultural diversity in our city through bright colours and characters.
