Created in collaboration with Visual Arts students and teachers, and the College’s leadership team, the artwork aims to inspire appreciation of the natural environment, learning and creativity, acknowledgement of traditional land owners, and celebrate structures and landmarks in the local area.
References in the artwork include a focus on education and learning in the riverside College community, the prominent plant life including towering tree gums, and significant structures such as the Walter Taylor Bridge, and the College’s Edmund Rice Building, alongside the contemporary Waterford building, referenced through Waterford crystal inspired designs.
