Pride and Sacrifice

Beams Rd & Church St, Taigum QLD
Just outside the Taigum Fire Station, Ned the elephant can be seen extinguishing a fire by blowing the water out from his trunk. This illustration is a dedication to the selfless work of our fire fighters. The Indigenous owners of the land have been acknowledged by the colours of the Aboriginal flag layered on the top of each side of the box. Finally, down each side are the vibrant colours of the rainbow. This not only represents the beauty of nature but also was used to celebrate the LGBTIQ people in the community.
