Paper Wings

Sylvan Rd pedestrian crossing & near Kate St, Toowong QLD
This design depicts a group of origami cranes in flight, drifting through the sky. Located directly in front of Toowong State School, which is a primary school, this traffic signal box design was created with the local community in mind. I aimed to craft something fun that would capture the imagination of young children, while offering a calming and welcoming presence for parents, caregivers, and passers-by alike. I was inspired by the memory of making origami paper cranes in Japanese class in school.
