Paddock Paradise

Meadowlands Rd & Wright St, Belmont QLD
The horse paddocks on Meadowlands Road offer a scenic surprise when driving past, especially on a beautiful morning or evening when Brisbane gets a stunning sunrise or sunset. My family always look out for the horses in the “pyjamas” as we call it when they have their blankets on and I like that there is this little piece of untouched land amongst the houses and highways. I have painted this with a sunrise to capture the hope and beauty of a new day, and was inspired after a second round of flooding of our house and the streets and parks around us this year. The quote is to remind me, and viewers, that the sun does come out and shine again and dry up all the rain.
