Nature’s Neighbours

Wynnum Rd & Hemmant Tingalpa Rd, Tingalpa QLD
This artwork utilises the themes of the Australian environment around where the box is located. We have used Australian animals that can be found in the local environment such as kookaburras, koalas, rainbow lorikeets and bats. We have designed a continuous tree design that moves throughout the artwork, each section of the electrical box featuring a different native animal. The chosen colours are brought from the natural environment also, the colouring of each of the animals referenced from their actual colours. The artwork communicates the busyness of the natural environment and the collection of animals that live within it. (Piper Ross)
