‘Mitchy Moments’ is located just outside Brookside Shopping Centre, which first opened in 1971 as one of the first major shopping centres in Brisbane’s northern suburbs. Kate hopes that this artwork brings a smile to commuters and walkers-by, and maybe even give some shopping list inspo!
Kate was born and raised in Brissie, and works as a graphic designer. This is the second box that she has painted for Artforce. She painted her first, ‘Sunny Daze’ in early 2024.

You must be a resident of Brisbane ie. living within the Brisbane City Council area.
You must not be an employee of Brisbane City Council.
You must not have painted more than two traffic signal boxes in a four year period and not in consecutive years.
