Landscape no. 2

Main St & River Tce, Kangaroo Point QLD
I looked for the patterns in the landscape surrounding this traffic signal box – the breezeway blocks at the café, the tips of spikey plants, the rocky wall, road markings and trunks of trees.  Drawing inspiration from my recent interest in whittling, I focused on the negative spaces and what is subtracted to define each distinctive form.

You must not be an employee of Brisbane City Council.
You must not have painted more than two traffic signal boxes in a four year period and not in consecutive years.
