One of the things I love most about living in Brisbane, is the abundance of natural spaces, represented here by the iconic Australian song “Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree” and the rainbow backdrop in the unique colours of natural Australia – rich red-brown of our fertile volcanic soil; bright blues of our sea and sky; pinks, reds, greens and khaki of our birdlife & flora. But with rapid development all throughout our lovely city, I wonder at what cost to our natural beauty, and quality of life, this comes.
