INDIVIDUAL IDENTITIES MAKE UP A COMMUNITY

‘I am, We are’, by Charlotte Lanchester of Xavier Place, represents themes of identity, interconnectedness and community.

Xavier Place is a home-away-from-home short term accommodation facility offering respite, care, and support for children and young people with physical disabilities and health-related needs. The organisation has been supporting children with complex disabilities and their families in Brisbane for over 70 years.

‘I am, We are’ shows silhouettes which represent the various identities of children and young people who access support at Xavier Place. These individual identities come together to create vast and dynamic communities with the people around them.

Charlotte was assisted by Rebecca Holdorf.
