Humble Beginnings

Logan Rd & Montague St, Stones Corner QLD
A tribute to James Stone. After purchasing the land on the corner of Logan and Old Cleveland Roads, Stone tried unsuccessfully to open a hotel. Eventually, he operated a ginger beer shop on his corner, which became known as Stone’s Corner. This is an abstract representation of the humble ginger flower, the plant from which Stone’s Corner began, which sits at the Logan Road entrance to Stone’s Corner.
