High hopes and green slopes

Juliette St & Earl St, Annerley QLD
The suburb got its name from a farming estate purchased in 1857 from Frederick Wecker and I wanted to have a play on words with that. ‘High hopes’ points to the community – we live here because it is a beautiful area to live, work, raise a family, grow and be prosperous.
