I wanted to bring a sense of greenery to the surrounding suburbs. As Hamilton is well known for its water views, I also wanted to reflect on the meeting point between land and sea. Eucalyptus and gum leaves commonly grow along these areas, so I chose to blend these environments together. I hope the piece offers a sense of calm to those who pass by, adding to the relaxed, slow pace of the area. Soft, organic forms and the absence of harsh lines aim to provide a gentle moment of quiet within an otherwise chaotic world.
