In creating the design (prior to the box location), the artists/support team wanted to highlight the range of experiences and services the COCA artists receive from Multicap. To get to the COCA class, Multicap provide many of our artists with: transportation, housing, and vital health supports. Our characters in the image are representative of our clients – themselves who have been working on self portraits last term. We then received location from the Artforce Team and were happy to receive the box opposite Sunnybank State Special School. Multicap has an existing relationship with SSSS, and the design was adapted to fit the site. We visited the location, reviewed the SSSS website (values/programs) and have attempted to marry both SSSS and Multicap ethos/services. Through our design we aim to inspire the students to dream big, to identify with their immediate communities and know that we understand their journey and can be part of it if they choose.
