The design was inspired by Oscar Wilde quote “A flower blossoms for its own joy.” This quote reminds us to seek joy in life for our sake and not to impress those around us. The artwork encourages viewers to search for beauty and joy in their lives. The local area is home to a diverse range of people, each with different experiences and upbringings. This box can remind everyone to search for these moments of joy around them.

You must not be an employee of Brisbane City Council.
You must not have painted more than two traffic signal boxes in a four year period and not in consecutive years.
