Bowie Bats

Picture the flying fox colony rendered not in soft fur tones but in bold, dripping splashes of colour. Nestled together in the fig trees of Hendra, a leafy riverside suburb near the Doomben and Eagle Farm racecourses and Brisbane Airport, this technicolour huddle transforms an everyday patch of Queensland bushland into something joyfully surreal, a psychedelic starburst of wildlife and glam-rock energy, dripping colour into the branches like a paint bomb went off backstage at a Ziggy Stardust show.
