Bird & Sun with Leaves

Logan Rd & Plimsoll St, Greenslopes QLD
The bushland around the southside of Brisbane is rich and carries a diversity of wildlife. I have chosen the lyrebird as a myth-like icon for this piece, to relate to the history of the region long ago and to suggest that change and evolution is part of life. I hope the whimsical almost humorous bird will bring fun and joy to pedestrians and travelers along the long and historical Logan Rd. I have a long history with the Southside and wanted to pay a tribute to the value I have gained individually by giving back in this way.
