Singing Cicada Dream

Dandenong Rd & Endeavour St, Mt Ommaney QLD
The artwork is about the life cycle of a cicada, the repetitive pattern represents the shells left behind after the ‘true bug’ has shed it shell. As a child I remember finding the shells on tree trunks and loved examining them up close. Beautiful transparent golden colours.
