I hope to encourage an awareness of community and a love of supporting local small businesses with my art. Carina is an amazing neighbourhood dotted with many delightfully unique businesses and it has an individual look and character that we can keep thriving by choosing local first. I think the message is very important that we can shop anywhere in the world, online and in person, however when we choose local we build our community, enhance our neighbourhoods and build stronger relationships. I have chosen the idea of avocado on toast and takeaway coffees to give the viewer an instant memory associated with their favourite cafe. Our patronage to these small local businesses are what keep inspiring the next generation of young adults to share their passions with the world. Live, Love, Local.
